The duo broke Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag's record of 7.35 runs against the West Indies in 2002. The number three pairing is Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. He shared a partnership of 6.72 against Australia in 2013.

Shubman Gill scored four ODI centuries in 21 innings, becoming the fastest Indian to achieve the feat. He broke Shikhar Dhawan's record. He reached this milestone in 24 innings. He is followed by KL Rahul (31 innings) and Virat Kohli (33 innings).

Rohit Sharma hit six sixes in his century knock. This is the 15th time in his ODI career that he has hit at least five sixes in an inning.
