Traffic Restrictions at Uran Phata from March 1 to April 30 Due to Roadwork
Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Traffic Control Department has issued a notification regarding the restrictions on the Panvel-Sion Highway at Uran Phata due to road-concreting work scheduled from March 1 to April 30, 2025. The project aims to improve road conditions but is expected to impact vehicular movement in the area.
According to an official notification issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Tirupati Kakade, all vehicles coming from the Pune-Mumbai Highway will be prohibited from taking a right turn under the Uran Phata Bridge. Additionally, vehicles approaching from Apollo Hospital and JNPT will be restricted from taking the MIDC route under the Uran Phata Bridge.
Alternative Routes for Commuters:
- Vehicles can proceed via Uran Phata Bridge or take a right turn under LP Bridge to reach MIDC.
- Another route includes Uran Phata Bridge → LP Bridge → Turbhe Bridge → Savita Chemical Bridge, from where vehicles can take a right turn to their intended destination.
Emergency vehicles, including police, ambulances, fire brigades, and government vehicles, will be exempt from these restrictions.
Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Traffic personnel will be deployed in the area to ensure smooth movement during the roadwork period.
