Alleged press reporter, one other arrested for selling liquor

Aurangabad, April 19:

The crime branch police arrested an alleged press reporter with an identity card around his neck and his accomplice while selling liquor at Bibi Ka Maqbura area on Monday. The police sized six foreign liquor bottle, one moped and two mobile phones from the accused. The arrested have been identified as Pushkar Ramchandra Aherkar (24, Amodi Hills, Pahadsinghpura) and Kishan Raju Kundare (23).

According to the details, the crime branch police received information that a man with an identity card of a press reporter around his neck is selling liquor. Under the guidance of PI Avinash Aghav police team including PSI Manoj Shinde, constables Santosh Sonawane, Chandrakant Gawale, Bhagwan Shilote, Vishal Patil, Anand Wahul and Rithesh Jadhav contacted Aherkar and asked for liquor. He was ready to give the liquor at double price. He asked them to come to Bibi-Ka-Maqbara area. When the team went there, Aherkar was wearing a reporter’s card of ‘Mumbai Ka Swabhiman’, an Hindi Newpaper was standing there with his accomplice Kundare. The policemen in civil dress asked him for the liquor. When he took liquor bottles from the dicky of his moped. The police arrested him and his accomplice. A case has been registered at the Begumpura police station.
