Aurangabad May 30:

Rajesh Bharuka and Aashish Agarwal were designated as chairpersons of two separate Regions of Lions Clubs.

Administration set up for the new office-bearers is in progress after the District Governor's election in the annual online convention held last month.

Deelip Modi, the District Governor-Elect, is keen on appointing and framing his administration set up for the year 2021- 22.

He formed two separate regions in Aurangabad that holds 20 clubs together. They are; Region-5 and Region- 6 (District-3234 H-2). Rajesh Bharuka and Aashish Agarwal were designated as chairpersons for the Regions respectively.

Each region will have three zones and each zone will have a chairperson.

Region-5 : Zone-1- Jairaj Ghuge, Zone 2-Radha Tornekar, Zone 3-Gaurav Malpani;

Region 6: Zone 1- Sanjay Kasliwal, Zone 2- Jaydeep Ghuge, Zone 3-Kishor Lalwani

Region 5: Region Zone set up includes;

Zone 1-Lions Club Chikalthana, Lions Club Waluj, Lions Club Deccan;

Zone 2-Lions Club Classic, Lions Club Angels, Lions Club Metro;

Zone 3-:Lions Club Midtown NX, Lions Club Winners, Lions Club Main.

Region 6:

Zone 1-Lions club City, Lions Club Midtown, Lions Club Wellness;

Zone 2-Lions Club Icons, Lions Club Royal, Lions Club Gemini and Zone 3 -Lions Club Gold, Lions Club Central, Lions Club Cidco.

Addressing a meeting, Rajesh Bharuka mentioned that the Lions of Aurangabad had contributed for the last many years to the city. The district's service-oriented permanent projects are Lions Eye Hospital, Lions Dialysis Center, Lions Blood Bank, Lions Balsadan, Lions Diagnostic Center.

“As in this hour of crisis, society needs Lions Clubs more than before and thus, we wish to initiate new permanent projects as need-based service this year,” he added.

Aashish Agarwal too seconded the thought and appealed to make both regions role models for the district's service and administration.

All newly appointed office-bearers determined to serve through the new district programme 'Lionism Dil Mein' and expressed their gratitude towards the district leadership Deelip Modi (Nanded), Purushottam Jaipuriya (Jalna) and Sunil Desarda (Aurangabad).

Local Lions leaders, including family head Ln Rajendra Darda, Dr Nawal Malu, family coordinator Mahavir Patni, CA Vivek Abhyankar, Sandeep Malu, Rajesh Raut, Tansukh Zambad, Arvind Macchar, have congratulated all the new office bearers.
