In-plant training for MIT students in 275 cos.

Aurangabad, July 22: A total of 498 final year B Tech students of Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT-Autonomous) received in-plant training in 275 national and multinational industries. Out of them, 180 students received monthly stipends from Rs 8,000 to Rs 30,000 during this training period.

Institute’s Training and Placement Cell coordinates with industries. For the academic year of 2020-21, all the 498 B Tech final year students received in-plant training in companies like Bajaj Auto, Cosmo Films, Tata Communications, Sanjeev Group, Kohler Power, Whirlpool, Bagla Group and Sharda Infratech at their factories located in various cities and reputed research organizations like ISRO, DRDO, IIT Bombay. Some Computer Science and Engineering students received overseas research intern positions in the Bio-Computing and Development Lab at University of Limerick, Ireland.

Interns were assigned different responsibilities in the industry and adapted very well. Dean, Training and Placement Sandeep Pankade, Amol Patil along with various departmental coordinators Dr V R Gosavi, Jaykumar Dhage, Abhay Gore, Sameer Patil, Anupam Roy, Shivkanya Aitwar, Dr Saurabh Tayde, Aniket Jinturkar and Dr Prashant Awsarmal took efforts to place students for in-plant training.

MIT director general Munish Sharma and director Dr Santosh Bhosle congratulated the students for their successful completion of in-plant training.
