Peon in ACB net for Rs 60,000 bribe at Jalna

Aurangabad, March 8:

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Monday arrested a peon working at the Caste Verification Committee, Jalna for accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000.

The accused has been identified as Bhausaheb Bhalchandra Sarode (50). The sources said the complainant had submitted his caste certificate for verification. The accused demanded Rs 60,000 for getting the work done.

The complainant promised that he would give the amount. However, he lodged a complaint with the ACB office. The ACB sleuths comprising police inspector Sandeep Rajput, police personnel Arun Ugle, Santosh Joshi, Kevalsingh Bagul laid a trap and arrested Sarode while accepting the bribe of Rs 60,000. A case has been registered against him under the relevant sections.
