Aurangabad, Feb 2:

"Religion needs to be practised not only from the mind but also from the bottom of the heart" said Yuvacharya Mahendrarishiji Maharaj in a discourse organised at Bajajnagar here today.

Yuvacharya Mahendrarishiji Maharaj was welcomed by the Jain community at Tiranga Chowk in Pandharpur. Mahendrarishiji left for the Jain stanak in Bajajnagar in the presence of hundreds of devotees. Earlier, a Mahamangalik program was held at Mahavir Chowk in Pandharpur. Speaking in the discourse Yuvacharya said that religion is the main part of human life. Life is meaningful only if Dharmasiksha and Dharma are practised wholeheartedly. The welfare of our soul and this life will not be achieved unless the seeds of Dharma are inculcated in our hearts. He also expressed that nowadays religion is being done only for show. Akshayrishiji, Hitendrarishiji, Amritmuniji, Dr Achalrishiji and Upavartani Sadhvi Suman Prabhaji were present. This religious program was attended by a large number of Jain community members and devotees from Bajajnagar, Pandharpur, Waluj, Ranjangaon, Cidco and the city.

Various programs on the Diksha Din

On the occasion of the 40th Diksha Din (initiation day) of Yuvacharya Mahendra Rishiji Maharaj, various religious programs will be held at Jain Stanak in Bajajnagar on Wednesday at 9 am. Bhumi Pujan of the construction of the new building of the Jain stanak will be performed by Mahendrarishiji Maharaj followed by a discourse. Prasad will be distributed to the devotees. President of Pandharpur-Bajajnagar Shrawak Sangh Santosh Chordiya, Chandrakant Chordiya and office bearers have appealed to take advantage of this program.

Knowledge is the best donation

Knowledge is the best donation. If you have any kind of knowledge, try to pass it on to others. Don't be stingy in imparting knowledge, said Yuvacharya Mahendrarishiji. He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a three-day discourse series organized on behalf of Vardhman Shwetambar Stanakwasi Jain Shravaksangha at Mahavir Bhavan. Mahendrarishiji appealed to people to memorize the great scriptures and pass on the knowledge to their families and friends. Sadhvi Suman Prabhaji mentioned many virtues of Swarnashreeji's modest life in her discourse. Akshayrishiji analyzed human virtues and vices, explained the importance of virtue in life.
