Shivajinagar subway proposal still pending

The proposal to construct a subway in Shivajinagar is still pending. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the residents of the area said that the railway department is ready to share the cost of the construction while the State Government should accept their request of sharing expenses.

They said that South Central Railway-Nanded Division had sent the proposal to the principal secretary of Public Works Department. “Once the Government approves the proposal, it would be sent to Railway Ministry for final approval. We met public representatives also to get support for the proposal. We will launch an agitation if our demand is not fulfilled,” they said.

Adv Shivraj Kadu, Badrinath Thorat from Satara-Deolai Kriti Samiti, Ramdas Mangate, Shivaji Jadhav, Madhukar Patil and Ravindra Patil were present at the briefing.
