Nashik Police Arrest Two Suspects Involved in Drug Trafficking

Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik has ordered to take strict action against illegal businesses and drug sellers within the limits of the City Police Commissionerate. A special team formed by the Commissionerate intercepted a luxury car in Mhasrul area. When this car was searched, a stock of ganja of about 101 kg 880 grams was found in the vehicle. Police have arrested two suspects.

Against the backdrop of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, anti-narcotics and anti-arms operations have been accelerated in Nashik city and its surroundings. Strict action is being taken by the crime branch squads of the Police Commissionerate, special squads against those who possess illegal arms and against those who sell and buy drugs.

According to the confidential information received by the special team, Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Bachhav, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Under the guidance of Sitaram Kolhe, a team of Senior Police Inspector Jairam Paigude, Sub-Inspector Dilip Koll, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ranjan Bendale, Constables Sanjay Tajne, Devkisan Gaikar, Kishore Rokade and many more. laid a trap on Mankar Mala Road within the limits of Mhasrul Police Station.

When a suspicious car (MH04 BQ 0778) came here, the team intercepted it. Dyaneshwar Balu Shelar (32, Makhamalabad) and Nilesh Ashok Borse (27, Amritdham) who were in the car at this time were detained. A stock of ganja worth around 20 lakh 37 thousand 600 rupees has been seized from the trunk of the car. A case under the Anti Narcotic Drugs Act has been registered against both of them at the Mhasrul police station.
