Naidu appointed as NDHA secrtary

Nagpur, June 23

Former International handball player and regional director of Sports Authority of India (SAI) Roop Kumar Naidu has been appointed as the secretary of Nagpur District Handball Association (NDHA) for five- year term (2021 to 2025).

Due to personal reasons, former secretary Dr Sunil Bhotmange expressed his wish to resign and proposed the name of Roop Kumar Naidu for the development of handball.

Dadoji Konddeo awardee and others also supported the move.

On Wednesay, NDHA celebrated World Handball Day at Yashwannt Stadium in which former and present national and international players came together. The programme began with a tribute to the legendary athlete Milkha Singh along with national handball goalkeeper Sanjivani Joshi and Hansaben Kamdar.

Current player gave the demonstration of handball game in the presence of Sitaram Bhotmange, Milind Makde, Atmaram Pande, Inderjeet Singh Randhawa and others.
