According to reports from the fire department, they received a call at 5:59 am, prompting the dispatch of seven fire tenders to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. By 6:20 am, the fire was brought under control. The fire originated within the director's office, located on the second floor of the teaching block.
While there were no reported injuries, the fire resulted in the destruction of files, office records, a refrigerator, and office furniture, as stated by the Delhi Fire Service (DFS).
