Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon as a version of Ram and Sita, has failed at the box office.

Om Raut's VFX-heavy retelling of the Ramayan recorded a drop of 78% in earnings on Day 4 with Box Office India reporting Monday's collections at ₹ 7.75 crore net. This takes the film's net earnings to ₹ 113 crore (from ₹ 105 crore at the end of Sunday).

The collections fell even lower on Tuesday with India collections in all languages coming down to as low as around ₹10 crore nett.

According to a report on Sacnilk.com, the film recorded just ₹10.80 crore in all languages in India on Tuesday as per early estimates. After a ₹220-crore weekend at the domestic box office, the film nosedived to just ₹20 crore on Monday.

In the first 5 days, Adipurush stands at a total of 247.50-249.50 crores nett (all languages). For a film with a standard budget, these numbers are huge but for one of the most expensive Indian films, such a collection is not at all pleasing. With Tuesday’s performance, it seems that the game is over for the Prabhas starrer and tomorrow, the number is expected to go below the 10 crore mark.

Adipurush ran into national controversy from the day of its release due to dialogues penned by Manoj Muntashir, which many dubbed as “pedestrian language” for a story considered by many to be religious and divine.
