FIFA World Cup 2022: Football fans around the world are interested to know what the prize money would be for the winners, runners-up, and the teams reaching the semi-finals and quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Final between two world champions, which is only hours away.

The winner of the FIFA World Cup final in 2022 will reportedly receive a stunning $42 million (Rs.347 crores) in prize money, while the runner-up would receive $30 million (Rs. 248 crore).

In addition, Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, and England will each receive $17 million (Rs. 140 crore) because they advanced to the quarterfinal. Qatar, Ecuador, Wales, Iran, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Tunisia, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Costa Rica, Serbia, Cameroon, Ghana, and Uruguay are among the nations that were unable to advance past the round of 16. For their efforts in the group stages, they will receive $9 million (Rs. 74 crores) each.

The FIFA World Cup trophy will be up for grabs when Argentina and France square off against one another today. While France triumphed in 1998 and 2018, Argentina won the prized trophy in 1978 and 1986.

Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, has declared his retirement from playing for his country in international football ahead of the FIFA World Cup final. Lionel Messi is aiming for the first-ever World Cup trophy victory in his illustrious career. On the other hand, France’s Kylian Mbappe is seeking to capture his second World Cup title, following his triumph in 2018.

Needless to say, the players from Argentina and France won't have money on their minds when they take the field to play the World Cup final. All they will be caring about is the silverware. Argentina for their third World Cup title, France for their second successive title.
