A recent survey in the UK has revealed big news about the corona vaccine. According to a nationwide study, the fourth dose of Pfizer or Moderna corona vaccine is safe and the levels of antibodies are higher than the third dose.
In Britain, a fourth dose of the corona vaccine is being given to people who are susceptible to corona as a 'spring booster', say researchers. Researchers also say that this may be a precautionary measure against high levels of antibodies before the study data becomes available.
According to information published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases Journal, the fourth dose of Corona appears to be beneficial to those who have taken a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine. According to research, these antibodies and shell bodies are less likely to cause booster doses than expected.
These results suggest benefits for the most sensitive individuals taking the current spring dose and provide confidence for any possible vaccinations in the UK, said Professor Saul Faws, director and head of testing at NIHR Southampton Clinical Research Facility.
The study selected 166 people after receiving the initial dose of Pfizer or AstraZeneca in June 2021, with the Pfizer vaccine as the third dose.
These people were selected to take the full dose of Pfizer or half the dose of Modern as the fourth dose without any prescribed sequence. These people were given a fourth dose about seven months after the third dose.
Body aches and fatigue were common symptoms at the vaccination center. However, no serious side effects related to the vaccine were observed. These people felt the fourth dose was safe, the researchers said.
