South Africa manages to control the Omicron variant, Whereas India's situation is getting out of control

While India's number is increasing in the Omicron variant, South Africa has successfully controlled the disease, which was first originated there.

The number of omicron patients in South Africa has dropped drastically. However, the night curfew will still remain in the country.

The first-ever patient of Omicron was found in South Africa only, but after putting the strict restrictions the country's numbers are decreasing.

The WHO is still giving warnings to the world for the Omicron variant.

The South Africa official also issued the statement saying that in the third week of December 2021, 1 lakh 27 thousand 753 new patients were found in South Africa. However now in the fourth week, they have seen dropping numbers of Omicron variants.

The night curfew is been still imposed in South Africa, but the liquor and other necessary items are still allowed to sell according to regular time.

The people in South Africa strictly need to wear masks and maintain social distance in public places.

Restrictions will be tightened again as the number of corona patients continues to rise and the hospital begins to feel the strain, the warning said. About 3.5 million corona cases have been reported in South Africa.

So far 90,000 people died in South Africa due to Covid, and India recorded 22,775 new coronavirus cases while 406 have died in the last 24hours.

At present, there are 1 lakh 4 thousand 781 active cases in the country and the recovery rate is 98.32 percent. Delta virus is now being replaced by omicron infection in the country.

The centre has also warned the states which have low vaccination rates and said that Omicron can cause serious issues to the country.

It is also said that the Omicron variant can cause a third wave in the month of February.
