On August 15, the entire country was celebrating the 75th Independence Day in India. On the same day, major violence broke out in Afghanistan. The Taliban occupied Afghanistan. After capturing the capital Kabul, the Taliban occupied the parliament, the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

There is no guarantee that instability in Afghanistan will end. US President Joe Biden has questioned the people of Afghanistan, saying "how long will we continue to send US troops if Afghanistan does not fight?"

"We will not repeat the mistakes we have made before," Biden said. Twenty years later, the Taliban are back in power in Afghanistan. Due to the Taliban regime, the people of the country are living in an atmosphere of terror.

The Taliban has now threatened to leave Afghanistan by September 11. The Taliban has called on the United States to withdraw all its troops. 6,000 US troops are still stationed in Afghanistan.

The United States has been fighting the Taliban since 2001. Today, 20 years after the end of the Taliban regime, Afghanistan is back under Taliban control. The US has spent more than Rs 2 lakh crore during this period.

US President Joe Biden has blamed fugitive Ashraf Ghani for the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan and its aftermath. Instead of standing up for the people of the country, he fled without a fight, Biden said.

The people should ask Ashraf Ghani for an answer. After 20 years, a very difficult decision has been made. There was no better time for the US military to withdraw. We took the risk. Al-Qaeda was eliminated. There were more than 15,000 troops in Afghanistan during the Trump era.

"There were only 2,000 troops left when our government came, but now there are 6,000 guarding Kabul airport," Biden said. US troops are returning from there. Biden has said he will take "severe action" if he is attacked.

The United States has already called in more troops. The United States plans to repatriate all troops from Afghanistan by August 31. Earlier, the Taliban had warned the United States to withdraw its troops by September 11.

Russia, meanwhile, tweaked the United States after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. Russia's ambassador to Afghanistan, Dimini Zhirnov, said the Taliban had secured Kabul in just 24 hours.

After China and Pakistan, Russia has signaled its support for the Taliban regime. India has kept a watch and watch on Afghanistan, saying it will decide on the role of the Taliban once a new government is formed.
