At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors has launched the EV concept Harrier SUV. Along with this, the company has given a glimpse of its next big strategy for the EV segment. Meanwhile, seeing the photos of this new Tata Motors SUV will make you want to buy it too.
The new Tata Harrier EV will be designed on the company's first 'Born Electric' platform, which can come with two and three-row seating configurations. There will be several EV specific changes compared to the regular model.
The new Tata Harrier EV concept features the 'T' logo on both the front and rear sides. It is Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEML) new badge of Tata Motor's EV segment.
The car maker is yet to reveal the interior details of the EV concept. It will get features of modern technology, full connectivity and auto assist. The layout of the car is likely to be lounge-like.
Tata's dedicated Gen 3 (Born Electric) architecture will be free from the packaging and design constraints of IC engine-based platforms. Meanwhile, it is rumored that the final production model of the Tata Harrier EV could arrive in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Tata Group is investing heavily in the EV sector. Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that the country's electric vehicle sector will undergo rapid changes in the coming years and the Tata Group will invest significantly in developing various products in this sector.
