Many individuals possess multiple FASTags for their vehicles, causing frequent issues at toll booths during toll collection. Conversely, a significant portion of the population faces challenges where the vehicle owner's name differs from that associated with the FASTag and registered mobile number.

NHAI sources indicate that extending the deadline for updating KYC is highly improbable presently. Between January 20th and 31st, a considerable number of individuals completed their KYC updates.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has been inundated with complaints regarding the problem of having multiple FASTags associated with a single vehicle. Frequently, at toll booths, the system either reads or scans the FASTag based on the vehicle's number plate.

As per the regulations, it's mandatory to update the KYC of the individual obtaining the FASTag. Additionally, the vehicle should ideally be registered in the name of the same person. However, initially, an exemption allows for the issuance of FASTags even if the vehicle is registered under another person's name, provided the FASTag applicant is willing to comply.

To initiate the process, download the FASTag wallet app provided by the company from which you obtained your FASTag onto your mobile device. Next, log in using the mobile number associated with your FASTag. Once logged in, navigate to the "My Profile" section within the app. Here, locate the option for KYC. If your KYC details have not been updated, select the option to update your KYC and follow the prompts accordingly. If there's no option to update KYC, select "No" in the provided field.

If you wish to update your information online. Log in using your registered mobile number. Once logged in, navigate to the "My Profile" option in the dashboard menu. Check your KYC status here. If your KYC information has not been updated, proceed to submit the necessary details for KYC completion.
