The film industry and politics are not an equation. But apart from acting, there are many actors who have played politics. The list will now include the name of popular television actress Kamya Punjabi. Yes, Kamya Punjabi, who is known for her tough nature, will soon join Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee in Mumbai in the presence of state party president Bhai Jagtap on Wednesday.
According to an e-Times report, Kamya Punjabi has joined the Congress. She has not yet made an official announcement but is expected to make an announcement soon.
Kamya had been thinking of entering politics for a long time. After the show 'Shakti-Astitva Ke Ahasas Ki' ended in September 2021, she started thinking seriously about it.
"I met Tehseen Poonawala in Bigg Boss 13 and told him about my desire to enter politics," Kamya said. He encouraged me.
I want to serve the country. There are many issues to work on. My vision is to work on women's empowerment. I have also endured domestic violence in the past. Maybe this gave birth to the idea of entering politics. I have no appetite for power. I just have to work, Kamya said.
I will not give up acting even after entering politics. Because acting is my first love. "I will try to strike a balance between acting and politics," she said.

Kamya Punjabi made her acting debut in 2001. In her two decades of an acting career, she has acted in many TV shows like Dil, Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar, Piya Ka Ghar, Astitva - Ek Prem Kahani, Woh Rehne Wali Mahal Ki, Banu Main Teri Dulhan, and many more.
She also appeared as a contestant in reality shows like Bigg Boss.
