Jalna, June 13:
A woman was killed on the spot while eight persons were injured when a private travels bus collided with a jeep at Ambad in Jalna on Sunday early morning.
According to details, Krishna Prahlad Satpure and his family members (Ramnagar, Jalna tehsil) were going for his marriage ceremony from Chandan to Jalna by a jeep. The jeep and private bus collided head-on at Ambad road in Jalna district.
The jeep turned turtle three times. A woman from the jeep Swati Ajay Kale (30), was killed on the spot. Dhondiram Arvind Tambve (42), Sagar Arvind Shendge (27), Anand Uttam Kale (21), Priyanka Sagar Shendge (22), Savita Dhondiram Tamve (35), Sarthak Ajay Kale (08), Rajvir Sagar Shendge (05) and Rajnandini Sagar Shendge (03) who were in the jeep sustained injuries. All the injured were shifted to Government and private hospitals. The condition of Sartak Kale is stated to be critical.
On receiving information, tehsil police inspector Mahesh Tak and his team reached the spot and arrested the bus driver.
