Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A 51-year old man was killed while two others seriously injured in a head-on collision of two motorcycles Jhalegaon Pati on Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Nashik Highway in Garaj at 6.30 pm, on Tuesday.

The deceased has been idenfied as Ganapat Mhasu Pingle (Manegaon, Vaijapur).

Pingle had gone to Lasur station to sell Tur on Tuesday afternoon. After selling it, he was returning towards Manegaon on a two-wheeler at 6.30 pm.

Another two-wheeler (MH-20-BD-9807) came near Jholegaon Pati on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Nashik highway. The motocycles collied head-on. Pingle was killed on the spot in the collision.

Two construction workers who on the other two-wheeler were seriously injured.

On receiving information about the incident, constables Ganesh Goraksh and Sambhaji Andhale of Shiur Police Station rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the body of Ganpat Pingle was sent to Shiur Primary Health Center for autopsy. Pingle is survived by his mother, father, wife, son, two daughters and son-in-law.
