A case of attempt of murder registered against ten individuals allegedly assaulted two siblings with sharp weapons after they tried to intervene in a street altercation. The incident occurred around 9.15 pm on Wednesday outside the Parwana Hotel in Altamash Colony. A case was registered at Jinsi Police Station on April 5.

The accused have been identified as Shafik Takla, Faujiya Nasir, Sohel Zivara, Sohel Mamtaj, Atik Shafik, Amer Salim, Abed Khan, Ashrad Lala, Ashard Frutwala and Wajed Shafiq. According to the police complaint, Salman Shah, a resident of Azad Chowk, and his brother Saker Shah stepped in to defuse a quarrel involving their acquaintance, Wasim Shaikh. Moments later, the group turned on the brothers with lethal intent. One of the attackers, Faeyan Nisar, allegedly slashed Salman’s hand with a sword, causing a bone fracture. Another assailant, Abed Khan, reportedly struck him on the head with a sickle. Meanwhile, Atik Shafik is accused of hitting Saker with a spade before slashing him with a blade, leaving him critically injured. Police are continuing their investigation and have assured strict action against the culprits.
