11 SPI cadets selected for NDA & NA

Aurangabad, July 11:

A total of 11 candidates of Services Preparatory Institute (SPI) found a place in the merit list of National Defence Academy (NDA) and Navy Academy (NA), result of which was declared recently.

The academies conducted the written examination at Nagpur and Mumbai on September 6, 2020, while interviews were held in January and February 2021 by Service Selection Board. Both academies declared the merit list of 478 candidates, including 11 from SPI.

The selected candidates will get admissions to the 146th batch of NDA and 108 batche of NA.

The candidates were provided online coaching in Covid situation for the written examinations while interviews training was conducted at SPI during the Covid situation with permission from the district collector Sunil Chavan. SPI director Col (retd) Amit R Dalvi said that Pushkar Sadavarte obtained the 19th All India Rank (AIR) in the merit list while Aniket Mahajan secured the 33rd AIR.

Commander (retd) Sachin Jog, Col (retd) Sameer Borkar, Raju Manekar (Home Guard) guided the candidates for the interview. Devang Ashturkar, who underwent interview training at SPI, got 106th AIR.

The names of the successful students are as follows; Pushkar Mahesh Sadavarte (AIR-19), Aniket Kiran Mahajan (AIR-33), Akshay Atul Apte (AIR 74), Prathamesh Ravindra Komte (AIR 136), Aradhya Sanjay Goswami (AIR 215), Parth Chandrashekar (AIR 294), Shrinit Devidas Aher (AIR 298), all selected for Army, Mihir Hitendra Tawde (AIR 312) Sanket Duttatray Pokharkar (AIR 319) for Navy, Siddhant Sandesh Singhalkar (AIR 206), Harsh Santosh Sao (all for Army).
