Aurangabad, Feb 22:

Around 150 marriages were arranged in the city on the Maharuat on Sunday. However, the effect of Corona was seen on the number of people attending the wedding ceremonies. In the backdrop of the increasing number of Corona patients, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has issued notices to the Mangal Karyalayas not to permit people more than the prescribed capacity. Hence, the marriages were conducted following the guidelines to avert the Corona infection.

The wedding season will start from April now. Now, the government has issued strict guidelines again. The AMC issued notices to the Mangal Karyalayas now. As the new guidelines were declared two days before the wedding, there was chaos among the organizers. They had to tell many people not to come to the marriage ceremony on phones. Wedding ceremonies were held at Mangalkaryalayas on Satara, Cidco and Jalna Road, five star hotels and lawns on Sunday but without much crowd. At most of the places, people were seen following the guidelines but at some ceremonies there were more than 50 people. Boards highlighting the Covid rules were placed at the entrances of the wedding halls. Masks were also distributed to the people attending the ceremonies and santitizers were also used. Around 150 marriages were conducted in the city on Sunday, informed the Mangal Karyalaya and Lawns Association officials.
