Aurangabad, De 27:

As many as 151 students of Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies were selected in campus interviews on December 25 and 26.

The first batch of the college after affiliation to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (BATU) is in the final year. As per the syllabus of BATU, students will have to do six months internship in any establishment during their eighth semester.

On the basis of the internship, students are given marks.

Different companies from Endurance Technology (Pune), Sigma Electric, Lokesh ITC Ltd (Pune), Western Refrigeration (Pune), Aurangabad Electrical (Chakan), Verroc Pvt Ltd (Chakan) conducted campus interviews. A total of 76 students from Electronics and Telecommunication and 75 from Mechanical Engineering branches.

They would get between Rs 11,500 and 15,000 per month during their internship period, and they would be accommodated in the company on the basis of their performance.

Training and placement officer Amarsingh Mali, Bapurao Marlapalle and Mahesh Badmera worked in holding campus placement. College director Dr Ulhas Shivurkar and others congratulated the students on their selection.
