Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: In the backdrop of the Class XII examinations being conducted in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, the Secondary Education Department has appointed 160 vigilance squads to ensure that the transparency and fairness of the examination remain intact.

The squads will be working at 160 examination centers in the district and will keep a close eye on the examination process. The teams will not only monitor the actual examination process, but will also monitor the CCTV system at each centre.

Notably, each squad will be rotated daily and a new one will be appointed at different examination centres. This will go a long way in curbing exam malpractices.

In the backdrop of the malpractices that have taken place in the past few days, this precaution has been taken to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future. The main objective behind this initiative is to ensure that students can take the exam in a copy-free, safe and positive environment.

Ashwini Lathkar (Education Officer, Secondary) said, “The department is committed to maintaining transparency and discipline in the examination process. The appointment of vigilance teams will ensure effective control over all the examination centres in the district and students will be able to take the examination in a fearless environment.”

This decision of the Secondary Education Department is being welcomed from all levels and it is being expressed that the credibility of the examination will be further strengthened.
