Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

After 16 days, 18 tons of auto LPG will arrive from Mumbai on Saturday. Prices have surged from Rs 62 per liter a month ago to Rs 125, disrupting rickshaw drivers’ calculations. Pump owners warn that a rush could create law and order issues.

----

Distribution across 6 pumps

Out of the city’s 28 auto LPG pumps, 6 located at Waluj Road, Kranti Chowk, Mill Corner, and Seven Hills will receive the supply.

----

Each of 6,500 rickshaws to get 5 liters

To ensure wider access, each rickshaw will receive 5 liters, allowing 6,500 of the city’s 35,000 rickshaws to purchase LPG.

----

Pump owners appeal to authorities

Despite the central government’s commercial LPG scheme, thousands of drivers remain unable to access fuel. For the past fortnight, all 28 pumps were dry. Pump owners have urged the Petroleum Ministry to direct Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, and Indian Oil to ensure supply, submitting their appeal to Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsath.
