Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The two-day International Conference on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) organised by the Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (MNLU-CS), concluded on Saturday.

On the second day of the conference, for Plenary session-II, Dr G. R. Raghvendra gave his insights on Intellectual Property Governance for a Knowledge Economy: Opportunities for India in the Global Sustainable Development Goals Landscape, followed by the speech of Dr Jean Paun Van Marrising on Sustainable Trade and Environmental Diplomacy.

Prof. Dr Shashikala Gurpur delivered her speech on Climate-Induced Migration and Environmental Justice. Dr Venkata Rao, Dr Dilip Uke and MNLU Vice Chancellor Dr Bindu Ronald also spoke.

Justice Prasanna B. Varale, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chancellor of the University, in his presidential address, highlighted that sustainable development must be inclusive, humane, and environmentally responsible, with law playing a key role in balancing growth, justice, and ecological protection.

Suman K Bery also spoke. Suresh Prabhu observed that India is a victim of climate change rather than its cause, and that declining biodiversity poses an immediate survival challenge, demanding collective global action.
