Aurangabad, Dec 20:

Two groups clashed with each other with axe and iron rods over the issue of fetching water at Bhimnagar Bhavsinghpura on Sunday. The mob damaged a scorpio jeet and two motorcycles. The Cantonment police have booked 15 persons and arrested four persons.

On Sunday morning, son of Vishwanath Narayan Gangawane (65) was fetching water in front of his house. Shekhar Raju Shirke in an inebriated condition quarreled with him. Gangawane’s son, wife tried to console Shirke but he abused them. Soon two groups quarreled with each other and violently clashed with axes and iron rods. Tension prevailed for some time in the area as both the groups threw stones on each other. A scorpio jeep (MH 20 BT 5126) and two motorcycles were damaged.

Seven persons including two women were injured in the clash. A case has been registered against 15 persons while Shekhar Raju Shirke, Bugya Dabhade, Nishikant Raju Shirke and Ravi Aswale were arrested.
