Aurangabad, Oct 14: Two persons, including a five-year-old child, were killed and three injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Banoti in Soyegaon tehsil on Chalisgaon highway this morning at 10.
The dead have been identified as Bansi Chaudhari (40) and Kartik Phanse (5). The seriously injured are Kartik’s parents Chandrakant (35) and Aruna (30) Phanse. The Phanse family was going to Banoti village for the tenth day rituals (Dashkriya Vidhi) of a relative on their motorcycle (MH-19-AS-0647) while Bansi and Sandeep Choudhari (32, both residents of Banoti) were proceeding to Nagad on their motorcycle (MH-19-AK-0701) when the accident took place. Sandeep and the Phanse. have sustained serious injuries.
Villagers rushed to the accident spot and took the injured to the Banoti primary health centre from where they were taken to Pachora in Jalgaon district.
