Aurangabad, Feb 16: In a tragic incident, three persons were killed on the spot and one seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles near Pandhari village on Solapur-Dhule highway in the district on Tuesday night at 10.

The deceased have been identified as Dnyaneshwar Tulshiram Jadhav (35), his wife Suvarna (30) and Shyam Krushna Pagare (32, Parundi).

The Jadhav couple, resident of Aurangabad, had been to Ambad on a motorcycle along with their 15-year-old daughter. After attending a marriage at Sukhapuri, they were returning to Aurangabad via Adul on the motorcycle (MH-21-AY-9023)

when a speeding two-wheeler (MH-20-CK-5322)

coming from Pimpalgaon collided with their vehicle near Pandhari village. Dnyaneshwar, Suvarna and Pagare, who was riding the other motorcycle, were killed on the spot while Dnyaneshwar’s daughter Nikita was injured seriously. The Karmad police rushed to the spot after the accident. The traffic had come to a halt for a long while. Both two-wheelers sustained heavy damaged in the collision.
