Aurangabad, March 21:

The municipal corporation is conducting corona testing of traders in different parts of the city through six teams. On the first day, 80 traders were reported positive, and in the last six days till Saturday, 359 traders and workers have reported positive.

As corona infection is spreading rapidly in the city, the corporation along with the Jilha Vyapari Mahasangh is conducting covid tests of traders, handcart drivers, fruit and vegetable sellers. Separate screening camps are being held at six locations in the city. On the first day, traders had lined up at all the centres to get tested. The crowd has been prevalent for the last six days. It is noteworthy that with more than 50 traders and workers coming positive every day, it is clear that corona infection is spreading in the city on a large scale. The administration has also expressed concern over the positive turnout as over 359 traders have reported positive in the last six days. The administration has appealed to the citizens not to go to crowded places, use masks, sanitisers while going out of the house and adhere to social distancing.
