Chhatrapati Sambhajiangar: “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will train 5 lakh CAs in Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the country by 2027 as part of educating, adopting and applying technology to move with the pace of time,” said CA Umesh Sharma, the Central Council Member ICAI.

Talking to this newspaper at the ICAI Bhavan in the city on Wednesday, after new office-bearers of the city branch took charge, he said that they participated in the AI Impact Summit and studied sector-wise analysis. “In the beginning, the ICAI has made master trainers who will give training not just to CAs, aspirants and persons of other professions,” he said.

He said that AI is more helpful to the CA profession. India has the largest number of AI-trained people compared to any other country. Indigenous AI applications are being developed. There is a plan to bring these applications into use. Our country is much ahead in service. Our trained youths will be able to get a job abroad,” he said.

He said that India is now the fourth largest economy of the world and soon, it would be in third place. Newly elected ICAI city branch chairman Amol Godha, secretary CA Rafeeque Pathan and others were present at the briefing.
