Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The six women accused who attacked the NDPS team on Saturday night, fled on Sunday.

According to details, a complaint was lodged at Jinsi Police Station by Crime Branch constable Sanjivani Shinde.

As per the complaint, NDPS Cell Police Inspector Geeta Bagwade, PSI Amol Mhaske and Constable Maroti Gore went to raid the house of Abrar Shaikh, a criminal who was selling drugs, at around 5.30 pm, on Saturday.

Six women of the house launched an attack on the police team to save Abrar Shaikh alias Mari at that time. They spiked water chilli powder and threw it in the eyes of the police personnel.

PI Geeta Bagwade, PSI Maske and Gore were injured in this. Accused Nazia Shaikh threw an iron rod at Bagwade with the intention of killing her.

They also abused the police officer and the constable in abusive language. They helped to use the residence to sell drugs. When the attack was over, Bagwade, who was injured, contacted the control room and asked for more police personnel.

Police seized drugs. The female accused were also taken into custody and brought to the police station.

Since the women were not arrested at night, they were released with a notice on the condition of appearing. It has been revealed that the female accused fled overnight after going home. The Jinsi police are searching for these women.
