60 percent people gave medical reasons for going out of station

Aurangabad, June 7:

The administration, during the lockdown, made e-passes compulsory for the residents for going out of the station. Out of the total residents applied for e-passes, 60 percent r stated the reason of ill-health of the relatives and five percent stated the reasons of last rites of the nearest relatives. The applications of the remaining 35 percent residents were rejected due to incomplete information and unnecessary reasons, the sources said.

E-passes were made mandatory for going out of the district. E-passes were issued only for the emergency reasons by the commissioner of police or by the superintendent of police level officers. In all, 1,28,537 residents applied online for e-passes. All the applications received could not be disposed of due to the enormous flow of the application. In all, 46,205 e-passes were issued while 43,867 applications expired. In all, 38,328 applications were rejected while 137 applications were received today, the sources said.
