Aurangabad, Dec 12:

A total of 651 students confirmed their admissions in 17 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of the district during the two Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds.

Electrician trade has received the highest preference. The third round began from Saturday and continues until month-end.

A total of 416 confirmed the admissions in the first round while 235 in the second round.

Around 23.82 pc admissions were confirmed in six private and 11 Government ITIs located in the different parts of the State. They have 2340 intakes with 36 different trades. After electrician, traders like wireman, fitter, stenograph (Marathi and English) and Mechanic are in demand.

There will be four rounds, and if required, the fifth round will be implemented.

The admission process which is finished generally in August will complete in January. The admission process was delayed because of stay on Maratha reservation and spread of Novel coronavirus.

Joint director of Vocational Education and Training SR Suryavanshi said that the third round commenced from Saturday. “The classes will commence after receiving Government instructions in January. Four rounds will be completed by December end while fifth round will be held of there is a requirement,” he added.
