Aurangabad, Nov 13:

In all, eight nomination forms for the Marathwada Graduate Constituency elections were canceled after the scrutiny on Friday, informed the election returning officer and the divisional commissioner through a press release.

The last date of filing the nomination forms was November 12. The candidates throng the divisional commissionerate to fill the forms on the last day. In all, 40 candidates submitted the candidature till 3 pm on Thursday. A total of 53 nomination forms were received on the last day. The scrutiny of the forms were done on Friday. Nominations of 45 candidates were held valid and 8 invalid after the scrutiny, informed the returning officer. The last day of withdrawal of the nomination is November 17 and after that it will be clear that how many candidates are in the fray. The candidates whose nominations were held invalid are Atul Kamble, Chhaya Sonawane, Sunil Mahakunde, Pravin Ghuge, Pradeep Chavan, Vijayshree Bargal, Baliram Kendre, and Shaikh Ferozmia Khaled.
