8 patients from AMC COVID centres vote in M’wada Grad polls

Aurangabad, Dec 1:

A total of eight Novel coronavirus patients undergoing treatment at Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) run COVID Care Centres cast their votes in Marathwada Graduates Constituency election on Tuesday.

The health machinery of the Civic Body was geared for the election. Around 253 officers and employees of the Corporation under the guidance of AMC health officer Dr Neeta Padalkar, were deployed at different booths today. Staff members of Malaria Department led by its head Dr Archana Rane worked for disinfecting the booths.

The arrangement of taking eight COVID patients to booths was made. One patient each from CIPET COVID Centre, Padampura COVID Centre, PES COVID Centre and Khil-e-Ark COVID Centre and three from MIT Centre exercised their franchise. One patient of Khil-e-Ark COVID Centre was taken to Gangapur for casting his vote. Planning was done by health officer Dr Talat Naveed Qazi while Programme officer Dr Archana Rane and Pathrikar also helped in it.
