Aurangabad, Oct 29:

The Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) dean Dr Kanan Yelikar has today informed of having a stock of 900 Remdesever Injection in the stores.

It may be noted that there was a severe shortage of injection in September in GMCH due to admission of a large number of Covid-19 patients. There were 6,000 patients in the month. The situation was very critical. As a result, the hospital was either having one injection or no injection for patients. The shortage of injection financially burdened the family members of patients as they had to buy it from outside. Above all, getting the injection was not an easy task. They had to run from pillar to post to fetch it for their patient by paying throw away prices. However, the admission of patients reduced in GMCH.

" As the patients are less, there is ample stock of injection available in our store. Besides, the oxygen demand has also reduced to 70 per cent," said Dr Yelikar.
