The Bank of Maharashtra Retired Employees Welfare Organisation honoured Aastha Foundation, for its work for senior citizens during a social responsibility programme held at Nivara Hall in Pune recently.

The programme was attended by chief guests Bharati Thakur of Narmada Abhyuday Rural Management and Development Association and Bank of Maharashtra MD and CEO Nidhhu Saxena. Founded on April 8, 1998, the organisation resolves retirees’ issues while supporting social initiatives through its “Samajik Kritagyata Fund.” Since 2003, it has contributed over Rs 2.38 crore to more than 223 social organisations working for deprived communities. The organisation has also supported education initiatives, disaster relief and development projects across Maharashtra.
