Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

An abandoned Maruti 800 parked in an open plot at Chhatrapatinagar, Kanchanwadi, caught fire on Thursday morning and was completely gutted.

According to the fire department, the blaze broke out in Plot No. 68 near Shivmangal Hall. A local alerted the Padampura control room, after which a fire tender from Kanchanwadi station rushed to the spot. Firefighters quickly doused the flames and brought the situation under control. Officials said the vehicle had been lying abandoned for a long time, while the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
