Prof Dr Suresh Madhavrao Munde has been elected as Devgiri Pradesh president, while Dr Varunraj Rajendra Nannaware has been elected Pradesh minister of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for the year 2025–26. The announcement was made by election officer prof Dr Rahul Kulkarni at the ABVP pradesh office. Both will assume charge at the 60th diamond jubilee Devgiri Pradesh convention scheduled to be held at Hingoli on January 23, 2026. Their tenure will be for one year.
Prof Dr Suresh Munde, originally from Gangakhed in Parbhani district, is a professor of hindi at Sant Savata Mali college, Phulambri, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Active in ABVP since 2001, he has previously served as city president, district and divisional in-charge, Maharashtra pradesh vice-president and national executive committee member. He has authored several books and research papers and has been associated with academic and student movements in Marathwada.
Dr Varunraj Nannaware, a resident of jalgaon, has been active in ABVP since 2018 and is currently completing his mbbs at Dr Ulhas Patil medical college and hospital. He has led several student movements related to education and social issues and has earlier served in various organisational roles, including Devgiri pradesh joint secretary.
