Aurangabad, Oct 23:

The Waluj MIDC police have solved the much-talked mystery of the murder of Bhimrao Savate (34) at Ranjangaon and arrested the chief accused Krishna Tathe at Pune and his accomplice Omkar Kamble, who helped to escape. Accused, Tathe killed Savate as he had once beat him severely, PI, Madhukar Sawant informed.

It may be noted, Bhimrao Digambar Savate (34) was murdered at his home at Ranjangaon. In the investigation, it was found that his own friend, Krishna Tathe killed Savate. Moreover, Tathe’s accomplice Omkar Kamble helped him escape from the city to Pune. The police, after receiving this information rushed to Pune and arrested Tathe on Friday at around 4 am.

Bhimrao tried to commit suicide on two occasions, but Krishna saved him. However, on October 18, Bhimrao beat him and then Krishna felt humiliated and angry and killed him, he confessed. He also took 4-5 mobile phones and the two-wheeler of Bhimrao. He sold his two-wheeler at Pune, and the police have seized it.

Meanwhile, commissioner of police, Dr Nikhil Gupta visited Waluj MIDC police station on Friday and congratulated and praised PI Madhukar Sawant, API Vijay Gharde , PSI Prashant Gambhirrao, Rajendra Bangar, Satish Pandit, head constable Quyyum Pathan, constable Vinod Pardeshi, Deepak Matlabe and others for solving the case in such a short period.
