Collector Vinay Gowda G.C. directed responsible departments to prepare a time-bound action plan to eliminate all accident-prone locations (black spots) in the district through structural and other measures.

At the District Road Safety Committee meeting, key instructions included road safety awareness in schools and colleges, standard-compliant speed breakers, structural changes and proper signage at accident sites, CCTV and speed cameras installation, and mobile alerts for drivers near accident-prone zones. The meeting was attended by SP Dr Vinaykumar Rathod, Superintending engineer S.S. Bhagat, RTO Vijay Kathole, and other officials from NHAI, Highway Police, and public works departments.
