The Corona patients need to be monitored for at least three months after the recovery. However, the administration seems to be completely negligent about the patients once they left the hospitals after treatment. Hence, there is a danger that these post-Covid patients may suffer serious ailment.

It has been observed that the patients after recovering from Covid suffer various other ailments. Hence, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and District Civil Hospital (DCH) has started an OPD for these post-Covid patients as the patients after the treatment have complained of difficulty in breathing, body ache and other ailments. However, most of the patients do not come forward due to the fear and ignore the treatment. Hence, the district administration need to keep a track of the recovered patients for at least three months.

District Civil Surgeon, Dr Kamlakar Mudkhedkar said that the percent of the recovered patients coming for treatment is very negligible. The patients ignore the ailment and come only when the condition is more severe, he said.

Head of the medicine department, GMCH, Dr Meenakshi Bhattacharya said, the patients after recovery rarely comes for treatment. The patients having weak resistance power when feel more problem approach GMCH. They should continue the prescribed medicines and must take nutritious food, she said.
