Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming how college students in the city approach their studies, turning smartphones and laptops into powerful academic assistants. From generating notes and summarising lengthy textbooks to solving complex equations and drafting assignments, AI tools are becoming deeply embedded in everyday learning routines. Students say these platforms save time, improve understanding, and boost productivity, especially during exams and project deadlines.

However, educators warn not to trust AI blindly and use it in addition with your own intelligence. Use technology mindfully and avoid overreliance on it. Always keep the steering wheel in your hands. This is especially true for AI. This technology is poised to redefine not just how students study, but how education itself is delivered across the country.

Smart study companion

As a mass communication student, it helps me in multiple ways by providing personalised learning, where concepts are explained in a simple and easy-to-understand manner based on my needs. It also supports my writing by improving grammar, structure, and overall flow of assignments. AI helps in idea generation by giving creative angles for projects and content. Additionally, it is very useful for summarising long PDFs into short, clear notes, making studying more efficient. It also assists me in script writing for videos, podcasts, and other projects. Overall, AI saves time, boosts creativity, and enhances my learning experience.

Great help in coding and debugging

I use AI to understand concepts like SQL injection and XSS in a simple way and to learn how tools like Nmap or Burp Suite work. It helps me during practice and bug bounty work by explaining vulnerabilities and how to prevent them. I also use it for coding and debugging when I get stuck, along with structuring reports and improving my writing. It helps me summarise notes, generate ideas, and stay organised with my studies. I don’t rely on it completely. However, it makes learning faster and clearer while I verify important information separately.

AI helps improve quality, clarity, & reliability

I use AI as a helpful tool for deep research and gathering detailed information for my assignments. It allows me to explore different perspectives on a topic and understand concepts more clearly. I also use AI to verify whether the information I have collected is accurate or not, which helps me avoid mistakes. By cross-checking facts and refining my ideas, AI supports me in improving the overall quality, clarity, and reliability of my academic work.
