Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A special general meeting on March 5 will elect 16 members of the CSMC standing committee. Mayor Sameer Rajurkar, in a Monday meeting with party group leaders, confirmed seat allocation based on proportional strength: BJP 8, AIMIM 4 (down from 5), Shinde Sena 2, Uddhav Sena 1, and Lokseva Vikas Aghadi (Vanchit & Congress) 1.

The municipal corporation has 115 corporators: BJP 57, AIMIM 33, Shinde Sena 13, Uddhav Sena 6, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi 4, Congress 1, and NCP(SP) 1. Group leaders will submit names for the committee, reflecting party strength. Following the standing committee, five subject committees Women & Child Welfare, Urban Development, Education, Health, and Social Welfare will each have 9 members: BJP 4, AIMIM 3, Shinde Sena 1, and Shiv Sena 1. Appointments will be made in the special session based on group nominations.
