Aurangabad, June 4 :

Former Congress leader, Haji Abdul Karim Khan Patel (Osmanpura) died of oldage today. He was 96.

His Namaz-e-Janaza was performed at Jama Masjid in Osmanpura on Friday after Namaz-e-Esha, while his burial took place in a graveyard on Dargah Hazrat Shahnoormiya Hamvi (in Shahnoorwadi), late in the evening.

He is survived by seven sons, four daughters, and an extended family. The departed soul was City Congress president from 1975 to 1985 and was the father of former corporator Akram Khan.
