Aurangabad, Dec 22:
District collector Sunil Chavan urged the health staff employees on Tuesday to complete the registration process for Novel coronavirus 19 vaccination. He was speaking in a workshop organised at District Collectorate today for COVID vaccination in the district.
Sunil Chavan said that pandemic condition was coming under control in the district as its number had come down.
“The recovery rate of patients has gone up to 96 pc. There is a prediction about the second wave. All the machinery should remain alert because of the prediction,” he said. Chavan said that there are required treatment facilities in the district, with sufficient stock of medicines, availability of beds and oxygen.
He said people should use mask and sanitiser along with maintaining social distancing.
There is a need for coordination among different Government departments for the vaccination.
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Dr Mangesh Gondavale, district civil surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni, district health officer Dr S Shelke, vaccination officer Dr Wagh and Dr Mujeeb from World Health Organisation were present.
