Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A four-day national-level inter-university cycling competition jointly organised by the Association of All India University (AIU) and MGM University is beginning on April 15. Around 350 cyclists from across the country would participate in this prestigious event.

The competition would be flagged off on the Dhule-Solapur Highway at 6 am, on Wednesday, while the formal inauguration ceremony will be arranged at Rukmini Auditorium at 4 pm on the same day.

Superintendent of police Dr Vijay Kumar Rathod, university chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, Vice chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal, and others will grace the event. A total of 69 teams from various states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Rajasthan, AP, TN and Uttarakhand will participate. A total of 10 km stretch on the Dhule-bound route from Zalta Phata to SRPF camp will remain closed on April 15, from 6 am to 10 am.
